Summer Mission Trips
If you're looking for mission trip options, there are many out there. For many years, it has been a tradition for students from Our Lady of the Snows church to participate in a mission trip to Franklin, W.V to work with Habitat for Humanity. In the past few years, Brian Williams has introduced this week long experience to students of St. John Bosco. And last year, students from Dallas, PA have linked up with Clarks Summit students, and Williamsport and Sayre students have joined with Hazelton students. We see the impact that a mission trip has on students and encourage you to look into such an experience. If you would like help in planning such an event, we can help you out.
Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people
of all faiths and races to develop communities for people in need by building
and renovating houses, creating homeownership opportunities.
You can find out all the project at Almost Heaven Habitat
for Humanity
Also the Diocesan Mission office offers a two week mission trip to high school sophmores. The location changes every year and space is limited. Please consider this option for members of your parish.
For those who are looking for a trip where little or no planning is involved, Catholic Heart Workcamp is an excellent option.
